Upgrading of the existing Lynches Lane Junction to provide a right turning lane to facilitate a new school and also included upgraded pedestrian and cyclist facilities and a signalised pedestrian crossing.
Key Elements
- Traffic management to facilitate the widening and alteration of the median to construct the new right turning lane including diversions and lane closures
- Installation of new watermains, foul sewer, gas, electricity and Eir connections and extensive communication ducting
- Construction of cycletracks and footpaths including a signalised pedestrian crossing
- Full pavement construction for widening of the roadway, turning area and bus parking facilities
- Installation of drainage including a new attenuation tank and online attenuation
- Installation of new road signage including a variable message speed limit sign with renewable power supply
- Liaison with Local Authorities and Utility Providers to obtain all licences and agreement on routes and connections for all new service connections
- Construction of and alterations to concrete islands and kerbing
