Construction of 1.8km of new dual carriageway and the upgrading of 1.3km of existing single carriageway to include new bus lanes, cycleways and footpaths including existing Junction upgrades.
Key Elements
- Traffic management to facilitate 32000AADT suburban traffic on national and regional roads
- Full pavement construction and overlays of existing pavement to strengthen the existing structure and provide new levels
- Full drainage installation including new kerb and gully systems and attenuated outfalls
- Installation of new services and diversion and protection of existing including, watermain, telecommunications, electricity, public lighting and traffic signals
- Construction of extensive wall and railing boundary treatments and other accommodation works required as part of the project
- Construction of new footpaths and cycle tracks including both on and off road facilities
