The project forms part of the overall Dodder Greenway scheme that has been under construction for the last number of years. Works include upgrade works along the existing roadway adjacent to the River Dodder.

Key Elements

  • Design and implementation of pedestrian and traffic management during construction
  • Alteration to existing footpaths and the carriageway to provide additional cyclist facilities.  Works include the construction of off road cycle tracks.
  • Upgrade and reconfiguration of 3 no. signalised junctions to improve the pedestrian and cyclist facilities
  • Improvements to the bus infrastructure along the route
  • Upgrade of the existing drainage services to include SuDS elements
  • Upgrade of public lighting, traffic signal ducting, comms and power network
  • New road marking and road signage
  • Extensive landscaping
