Installation of a Ø1500mm flood relief culvert around the Butterstream Estate / Clane GAA complex to act as an overflow to an existing 900mm culvert.
Key Elements
- Installation of 600m of Ø1500mm concrete pipes including the construction of concrete headwalls, railings and manholes
- Construction of gabion walling and reno mattresses to repair and prevent scour action on the river bed and banks
- Construction of new reinforced concrete retaining walls and weir
- Agreement of temporary works with Inland Fisheries and installation of temporary flume pipes, dams and overpumping of the existing river
- Construction of accommodation works including boundaries and new access road to the GAA complex
