Key Elements
- Installation of the pipes using closed face balanced slurry microtunnelling system, which involved the construction of a 6m deep, 7m diameter reinforced concrete launch chamber
- Liaising with Inland Fisheries regarding the temporary works which include dams, overpumping and diversions
- Installation of Ø1200mm concrete pipes, headwalls and manholes
- Installation of scour protection measures and channel improvements on the existing river including regrading, gabions, reno mattresses and the construction of earth berms
- Fencing and landscaping on completion of construction works
