Arklow Water Supply Scheme consisted of the installation of ODPE 100 Watermain and electricity duct underneath the Dublin-Wexford Railway Line and 4.2km of ESB duct installation along Vale Road. The Rathdrum Sewerage Scheme works included the installation of a new pipe bridge over the same railway line.

Key Elements
- Working over and under a live railway line using TI and TII track possessions, Lookout Protection and under a Track Safety Co-ordinator / Working on live carriageways design and implementing all traffic management required
- Demolition of an existing protected wall structure to gain access to undertake the works in Rathdrum and rebuilding of same on completion of works
- Procurement and installation of a new steel pipe bridge over the railway line including inspection walkways for the Ø600mm pipe and associated parapet railings
- Construction of reinforced concrete abutments, installation of the new foul sewer and demolition of the existing
- Installation of the watermain and ducting under the railway by pipe ramming and directional drilling
- Installation of 4.2km of ESB ducting in the verge of the Vale Road including a number of crossings and all reinstatement
