The scheme was undertaken to upgrade an existing junction to provide additional access for a new residential scheme
Key Elements
- Installation of over 1.5km of ducting to provide for new traffic and communication systems
- Construction of new footpaths and the installation of a new pedestrian crossing
- Installation of a new signalised junction including all poles, signal heads and cabling
- Protection of existing services including high pressure gas main and eir services
- Reinstatement of sections of carriageway
- New road markings and adjustment of the existing to allow for the junction
