Clonmel Enterprises Ltd. were awarded the Dun Laoghaire Central Active Travel Scheme in December of 2024. This scheme focuses on improving high quality pedestrian and cycling infrastructure promoting active travel modes of transport along Kill Avenue, Mounttown Road Lower, Mounttown Road Upper and Glenageary Road Upper in Dun Laoghaire. The scheme also intends to improve the sustainable drainage and landscaping of the area.
Works commenced on the scheme in February of this year at the Baker’s Corner Junction. The construction phase of the contract will see temporary traffic management in place to complete the works while maintaining traffic flows. The overall scheme is said by Irish Cycle to be “transformative in how it helps link already constructed and future cycling and walking routes”. We are delighted to be part of improving Ireland’s active travel network.
