Refurbishment of 2 No. bridges in South Dublin County Council's environs.
Key Elements
- Works on Slade Road consisted of scour damage repairs to the bridge foundations / A temporary river diversion was carried out to facilitate underpinning the structure and foundation repairs and then repairing the existing channel
- Installation of rip/rap in the river channel to prevent damage reoccuring to the structure and the river bed
- Working in stream at both structures to carry out diversions and liaising with Inland Fisheries to undertake the work in an environmentally sensitive manner / Electrofishing carried out by licence at both locations
- Installation of a new box culvert at Corrig Lane to replace the existing damaged structure
- Traffic management designed and implemented to carry out the works / Liaison with local landowners at Corrig Lane to facilitate the road closure and temporary diversions at the cul-de-sac
- Reconstruction of existing carriageway at Corrig Lane on completion of installation of new structure as well as installation of parapet rails and safety barrier
