Construction of a new Sludge Treatment Facility within the Ballymore Eustace Water Treatment Plant.
Key Elements
- Excavation and removal off site of over 30,000m³ of material from a confined site within the critical live plant
- Construction of 3 No. 5m high above ground reinforced concrete settlement tanks and below ground attenuation tank
- Construction of a large reinforced concrete raft foundation, perimeter retaining walls and column pads
- Building envelope of a portal steel framed structure, Kingspan roof and wall cladding, external glazing and doors
- 90min intumescent painting to all steelwork, firestopping, internal metal sandwich panel walls, glazing, stud partitions and doors
- Installation of all surface water drainage and foul sewers of varying pipe diameters, connections and manholes
- Installation of new services including watermains, public lighting and ducting
- Installation of permanent sheet piles to facilitate the construction of the new building on a confined site
- Tarmacadam carpark and paving works to replace an existing cobble lock roadway
