Works to install and prove existing ducting were undertaken along the M7, M8, N25, N27 and N40 routes
Key Elements
- Installation of ducting and associated access chambers in both the verge and hardshoulder were required
- Working at night to facilitate high traffic volumes around Cork and Newbridge and working to strict programmes to reopen the road each morning
- Undertaking road crossings using both open cut and trenchless methods, including through rock
- Reinstatement of motorway surfacing to TII specifications
- Proving existing ducting and carrying out repairs where necessary
- Removal and re-erection of safety barrier and road signage where necessary for the works
- Reinstatement of footpaths and structure concrete rubbing strips where required
- Liaising with all Utility providers to protection or carry out minor diversions where required
