Construction of a 200m section of single carriageway including a new roundabout and upgrades to two existing roundabouts.
Key Elements
- Complex traffic management to facilitate vulnerable pedestrians and cyclists accessing the adjacent school, while maintaining the high vehicular traffic volumes in the area
- Full pavement construction of the new carriageway and overlaying of the existing roundabouts
- Drainage, including attenuation, culverts, petrol interceptors, kerb and gully systems
- Construction of gabion structures and new boundary treatments including an Ashford hollow block wall
- Service installation including foul, watermain, gas main, telecommunications, electricity, public lighting and pedestrian crossings
- Installation of footpaths and cyclepaths
- Full landscaping including tree planting
